The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad hosted the third India Finance Conference (IFC) 2013, on December 18 and 19, 2013.
The conference was organized jointly by the IIMs of Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. Nearly 100 academics, researchers, and practitioners from India and abroad presented their papers during the two-day event.
The inaugural address was delivered by Prof. Ravi Jagannathan, Chicago Mercantile Exchange/John F. Sandner Professor of Finance, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. This was followed by a keynote address on “Getting Better – Learning to Invest in an Emerging Stock Market” by Prof. TarunRamadorai, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
On the second day Prof. Kose John, Charles William Gerstenberg Professor of Banking and Finance, NYU Stern School of Business, New York University delivered the keynote address on the topic “Risk and Governance in Corporations and Banks”.
The event includes technical sessions on asset pricing; corporate governance, corporate finance, market linkages, market microstructure, derivatives and regulation.
The National Stock Exchange of India is the principal sponsor and Axis Bank is the associate sponsor of the conference.
